School Satsang
On the auspicious occasion of Holy Makar Sankranti, the Vedic International School, Sambalpur, hosted a distinctive spiritual program centered on human values known as 'School Satsang.' This event was organized with great reverence and featured the participation of Mr. Nitin Dawar, a spiritual musician associated with the Art of Living, Bengaluru. During the ceremony, Mr. Dawar underscored the contemporary relevance of Satsang, emphasizing its potential to positively impact the mind and body, steering individuals away from negative thoughts. Shri Nitinji, alongside the school's students, added a musical touch to the Satsang with their performances. In his address, Mr. Anand Agarwal, the Chairman of the institute, spoke eloquently about the transformative power of Satsang, highlighting its capacity to facilitate personal and societal change. He emphasized its role in helping individuals break free from family conflicts and stressed its importance in the lives of students. The School Satsang drew a significant turnout, with more than 5000 students and parents participating in the event, which extended for approximately 4 hours.

Vedic International School Celebrates its Grand Annual Function! On 24th Dec 2022, Vedic International School observed its annual Function, Yuvana-2022 with great grandeur! Our much-awaited annual function was graced by our honorable chief guests - distinguished Lok Sabha member Sri Pratap Chandra Sarangi, respected Vice Chancellor of Odisha State Open University Dr. Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra, esteemed Chairman of Vedic International School Mr. Anand Agarwal and esteemed Principal Sri Manish Kumar Swami, had joined us. "Along with education in school, it is important to develop good character in students so that they'll become good citizens of the nation and will contribute to its overall development," said Mr. Sarangi in his speech. "For enrichment of education, the role of teachers is too important and endless." spoke honorable guest Mr. Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra. "By strengthening their self-confidence and determination, and by creating a sustainable environment and felicitous atmosphere - students can successfully reach their goals and achieve what they have aimed." affirmed our chairman, Mr. Anand Agarwal. The annual function was attended by hundreds of guests including teachers, staff, students, and parents. Dean of Vedic, Mr. Partha Mukharjee, Chairman of Vedic Junior College Mr. Prasanta Pradhan, Chairman of Vedic Degree College Mrs. Sweta Mishra joined us at the function and presented awards to meritorious students on the stage. Teachers from the CBSE commerce department and CHSE arts department were also felicitated. After the speeches and award ceremony, the cultural session began where Vedicians presented numerous performances and left the audience in awe of their talent. Vedic International School Concludes Its 3-Day Intense & Thrilling Model United Nations! Model United Nations have become an integral part of the school curriculum for the development of students. And keeping this in mind, Vedic International School has concluded its 3rd year of MUN. For the closing ceremony of VISMUN-2023, Professor Banshidhar Majhi, Vice-Chancellor, VSSUT Burla was invited as the Chief Guest. He was greatly impressed by the event and praised Vedic International School for taking education, innovation, and student development to the next level with such a grand debating congregation. With new ambitions and resolute determination, Prof. Majhi encouraged students to always move forward with their dreams. Chairman of Vedic Group, Mr. Anand Agarwal enlightened the gathered audience about United Nations and praised the secretariat for their amazing work in making the 3rd edition of VISMUN-2023 successful. He also gave a brief about the upcoming events that the school will host and organize. The closing ceremony with a fiesta of cultural events which were mesmerizing and captivated the audience. Chief Advisor, Mr. Sanat Puri oversaw the organization of VISMUN 2023.
Vedic contingent bagged Second Prize
Parade done by students of Vedic Group on the occasion of the birth anniversaries of Subhash Chandra Bose and Veer Surendra Sai. Students had worked really hard and dedicated long hours to perfect themselves for the parade. Their dedication was also rewarded and they secured second prize in the school parade and returned with a glimmering trophy as champions.

Parenting Workshop Event (Mr. Sushant Kalra, Founder, and Director of Parwarish.)
Vedic International School organized a Parenting Workshop on 18-12-2022 where hundreds of parents of Vedicians and also outsiders had taken part. Entry was free for everyone. The workshop was guided by Parenting Coach Mr. Sushant Kalra, Founder, and Director of Parwarish. It was really a great session and gathering, and Mr. Kalra imparted informative tips on parenting and student life.
KARATE WORLD CUP, 2022
Vedic International School participated in KARATE WORLD CUP, 2022 which was played on 17th & 18th of December, 2022 in Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata, West Bengal. In this tournament, teams came from all different states of India as well as from neighbouring countries. To play this tournament, players qualified from Open National Karate Championship, which was held in Koraput, Odisha on 30th Oct, 2022. We are proudly announcing that our KARATEKAS performed tremendously and won 12 medals in which there are 2 golds, 7 Silvers and 3 bronze. In this victorious achievement the Karate coach Mr. Kailash Ghibela and Mr. Deepak played a major role and left no stone unturned to secure the medals. Junior State Basketball Championship
We are Extremely Happy To Announce Yet Another Feat for Vedicians! At the recently organized Junior State Basketball Championship for boys and girls by Odisha Basketball Association (OBA) held at J.N Indoor Stadium and Barabati Stadium, the talented students of Vedic International School engaged in a thrilling championship and performed exceptionally well to secure their position in the quarterfinals! Their display of strength and skills brought them a wide range of appraisals from everyone. They even gave tough competition to their opponent and learned the lesson that on the road to success, victory is not the only motivation to boost our confidence but sometimes, it takes experience, team spirit, and enthusiasm to conquer the endeavors of the future. Boat-making craft activity
"If you are a boat that wants to sail in windy weather, you must be more stubborn than the waves!” Recently, on 5th Nov 2022 (Saturday), we organized a boat-making craft activity in which our pre-primary children took part. It was a great day, filled with enjoyment and enthusiasm from our young pupils. And we are very glad to share with you the photos of our dearest children with their parents and everyone else.

We are very happy to announce the feats of Ashish Tirkey, a student of Vedic Degree College. He had actively participated in the selection of Sambalpur University Basketball team (men) , which was organised by Sambalpur University on 15 November, 2022 And he has been selected and sent for coaching camp cum selection for Sambalpur University basketball team (men). Ashish visited University of Science And Technology, Meghalaya on 19/11/2022, for participation in East Zone inter University basketball ( men) tournament 2022- 23.
Trip to Vedanta Factory in Jharsuguda.
Recently the chemistry and Mathematics department students of Vedic Degree College went on a field trip to Vedanta Factory in Jharsuguda. The students toured the premises, interacted with the workers and observed the process of aluminum manufacturing and purification. This trip was a great source of industrial information for students.
National Conference on Material Science 2022

In the recently organized National Conference on Material Science 2022, Nasima Parween, a final year Chemistry honors student of Vedic Degree College had participated and showed her immense talent in the field. Among the PhD and M. Sc students, Nasima was the youngest participant. Her knowledge in the field was greatly appreciated by everyone. We are really proud of you, Nasima! Junior Women's Series held at Kalinga Stadium
With great joy and pride, we are very pleased to announce that Arpita Sahoo, a B.Sc first-year Physics Hons student has achieved impressive achievements in the 2nd round of Kheli India Junior Women's Series held at Kalinga Stadium from 19th to 20th November. Arpita has secured a second position, 2 third positions, a fourth position, and a fifth position in various competitions. This is truly an exceptional display of talent and skills, and we are extremely proud of her.
Inter-school dance competition
Recently, St. Xavier School Raigarh organized an inter-school dance competition where 18 schools participated including Vedic International School. We are proud to announce that our students performed really well and mesmerized the crowd with their finely synched dance moves! They won the 2nd position and we feel happy to share this with you. 36th Odisha State Basketball Championship 2022
In the recently organized 36th Odisha State Basketball Championship 2022 which was conducted from 17/08/22- 20/08/22 at Jawaharlal Nehru Indore stadium – Cuttack, a student of class 10, Shivani Behera secured 26th rank among 420 participants in youth girls coaching camp for National Basketball U-16 category! It is truly a matter of great pride and honor for Vedic International School, and we are really happy for Shivani who not only performed exceptionally well but bagged her name for national selection.
